CHICKEN
BISCUITS
Ingredients: 3 cups whole wheat flour 1 cup cracked wheat 3/4 cup chicken broth 1/4 cup warm water 1/4 cup honey 1 egg 2 - 1/2 teaspoons dry yeast 2 teaspoons minced garlic Directions: In a large bowl dissolve yeast in the water. Add egg, broth, honey and garlic. Gradually blend in the flour and cracked wheat. Add enough wheat flour to form a stiff dough. Transfer to a floured surface and knead until smooth, about 4 min. Shape the dough into a ball and roll to 1/4 inch thickness. Using knives or cookie cutters cut out the biscuits. Place on cookie sheet spacing them about 1/4 inch apart. Bake for 45 minutes. Let cool overnight. |
